Words from the Founder & CEO
Why we do What we do
Yvette Holman created Holmandy Healthcare Services in 2015, and has worked in the field for over 20+ years. Driven by her desire to see others do better, Yvette Holmandy has always had a strong compassion to “give back” in some capacity or another. As an adolescent, Yvette originally wanted to become a doctor, but believes God had a different path, and became a Nurse Practitioner instead so that she could also focus on passion projects in her spare time.
Originally licensed in 1988, Yvette Holmandy worked through Metropolitan State Hospital managing psychiatric medications and distributing medications to its patients. As they say in the industry, Yvette was getting her “feet wet” for what was next to come, for which she was grateful for both the opportunity and the experience. Immediately after, Yvette worked as an RN (Registered Nurse) at the emergency room at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center where she encountered every type of patient, from general sickness and mental illness to major trauma cases as one would expect. During her tenure at L.A. County hospital, Yvette knew that, moving forward, she wanted to continue her career with more focus on the mental and psychological cases, as was her passion.
Since 2014, Yvette Holmandy has worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and is also employed through New Visions Medical Group. As a healthcare professional, Yvette provides medical detoxification, and mental health assessments and/or consultations in and outside of Los Angeles County. Some of Yvette’s additional skills include case management, medication management, suboxone induction, and psychiatric evaluation. Holmandy Healthcare Services hopes to continue as a general Hub providing these services to individuals who desperately need them in the community.
