At Holmandy Healthcare Services, you will be greeted by our warm and friendly staff members and treated like family, instead of a patient. Your initial mental health assessment gives your psychiatrist and/or Nurse practitioner a complete picture of your emotional state. It also looks at how well you are able to think, reason, and remember (cognitive functioning). Our staff here at Holmandy Healthcare Services will ask you initial questions and examine your mental well-being, and even some background information. Your assigned therapist will take note of how you look as well as your mood, behavior, thinking, reasoning, and memory, and how well you can express yourself. We may also ask questions about how you get along with other people including your family and friends. Sometimes the assessment includes lab tests, such as blood or urine tests. The overall goal of the assessment is to determine a course of action for your therapy with Holmandy Healthcare Services, and how we can best assist.
